Fancy modelling Dunster station? Hornby has released a trio of new ready-to-plant buildings in OO.

Starting with the Dunster Engine Shed, pictured above, which is priced at £54.99 and features a wealth of detail. An essential part of railway operations, the engine shed is 25cm long, 10cm wide and 15cm in height.

Next is Dunster Station, modelled on the current listed Grade II station on the West Somerset heritage railway. Opened in 1874 by the Minehead Railway and initially part of the Bristol and Exeter railway, ownership of the station would pass to the GWR in 1876, BR in 1948 and onto the Preservation Society in 1976. Priced at £54.99, the building features lovely detailing and needs virtually no modifications, depending on the period modelled.

Finally, the Dunster Goods Shed, priced at £49.99. Once a place for goods to be loaded and unloaded, it now serves as a workshop for the heritage railway team and is also a Grade II listed building.

We will be creating a trackplan for a layout featuring these buildings in an upcoming issue of BRM, plus offering some tips to make subtle modifications to enhance these fantastic buildings further - make sure you subscribe to the magazine so you don't miss out!
