SPOT THE DIFFERENCE

Can you find all 10 differences in the two images above of Thunder The Express Goods Train?

If so, send the correct answers to us via email for a chance to win your own Playtrains - Flash The Local Express Remote Controlled Battery Train Set (pictured below)! Entries will close on Sunday night and a winner will be chosen at random and announced on the main exhibition page on Monday morning.

Good luck!

PUZZLE TIME

While you're tieing yourselves in knots looking for all the differences in our Thunder competition, why not have a break and have a go at a quick jigsaw puzzle? If you can do it in under five minutes, then you've beaten everyone on the team here!

FESTIVE WORD SEARCH

Who doesn't love a word search? Here's one from Hornby with a festive feel. Can you find all 15 words? Perhaps race a grown-up (if you can tear them away from the virtual show). Maybe the winner should get chocolate...

Good luck and happy word finding!

WIN A HORNBY VALLEY DRIFTER TRAIN SET

Draw your dream model railway...

Thanks to Hornby, we have a Valley Drifter Train Set up for grabs for one lucky winner who can draw us a plan of their perfect model railway.

In this competition, the only limitation is your imagination. All ideas are good ideas here, whether your model railway comes complete with a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a chocolate spaceship, or a Stark Tower Complex, the choice is yours.

Once you're happy with your model railway plan, all you need to do is take a picture of it and email it to us at [email protected] with the subject line  'Valley Drifter'. Entries will close on Sunday night and a winner will be chosen at random and announced on the main exhibition page on Monday morning.

BOLT & THUNDER REVIEW

Phil and his young sidekick Erin take a closer look at the new Bolt and Thunder packs available from the Hornby Playtrains range and put them to the test.

And now a chance to win your own...

If you would like to be the proud owner of your own Bolt trainset, pictured above, watch the video with Phil and Erin below to find out all the details...

Good luck - you only have until midnight on Sunday to send us your answers - a winner from the correct entries will be chosen at random and announced on the main exhibition page on Monday morning.

All you need to do is print a copy of the picture above by using the link below and put your colouring skills to the test. Once you're happy with your creation, take a picture and email it to us at [email protected] with the subject line 'Hogwarts Express'. You have until December 31st to send us your pictures.

The winner will be announced in the March issue of BRM (in the inbox section) and on the World of Railways Facebook channel on January 28th.

Good luck and happy colouring!

Young Model Railway Club

If you live near London, our friends at the Young MRC are waiting to help you get modelling.

Young MRC member, Indy, shows us how to make cobbled, inlaid track.

Do you need ideas for your model railway? Andy and Ali show us around their model, which is under construction. There are some great ideas here!

Tom, Carol and Lawrence tell us about the Young MRC and look at some plastic kits that are perfect for new modellers of all ages.

One thing that worries all adults introducing a youngster to modelmaking is using sharp tools. Tom, Carol and Lawrence look at ways to do this and keep things safe.
