Watch these basic tips on working with wire to help you wire your layout in both DC and DCC.

When it comes to electrics it needn't be scary, as BRM's Phil Parker explains in this great video. You'll need a soldering iron (nothing too big or too small!), solder, wire cutters and, of course, wire!

Phil starts by showing you how to tin wire, followed by joining two pieces of wire using your soldering iron. He also shows you how to wire track and then, if you were to make a mistake, how to un-do soldered joints.
