The following will take place at the 2018 event. Please check back for updates as we have them confirmed.

The BRM Village

The BRM Village is where we’ll be bringing Britain’s fastest-growing model railway magazine to life! It’s the place to find the BRM team, together with regular magazine contributors to get one-to-one modelling advice and take advantage of the magazine’s great show subscription offer or buy the latest copy of the magazine.

Didsbury Green-The BRM Project Layout - Built in response to a challenge from Rapido Trains, Didsbury Green is a micro layout that will hopefully be exhibited in Canada during April. Because of this, the model can't be conventional in size or weight! Despite these limitations, it is still an enjoyable model to build. You can follow the progress in issue of British Railway Modelling starting in January 2018. If nothing else, it proves that everyone has space for a model railway!

Operate the trains on the Calshot Road layout plus find out more details about the "young MRC" a monthly meeting for 8-14 year olds who want to develop their modelling skills.

The Model Railway Club

3 – MRC Test Tracks – We are bringing our multi-gauge test tracks that are normally available at Club meetings. At the show you can run any new purchases, and perhaps have a sneak preview of some of the latest models in action.

4 – MRC Membership - Come and visit our stand to find out more about The Club, and take advantage of our special show membership offer. There are a series of special guests being interviewed plus your chance to meet Silver Lady, the star of Channel four's series 'Biggest little Railway in the World '.

148 – MRC Layout workshop – "Bow Junction" Scale 7 and "Orchard Wharf" EM Gauge

We're starting work on two new layouts and you can come and see what we've got planned and find how to get involved.

"Bow Junction" depicts the North London Railways junction south of Bow station and the original Bow Works. The layout will feature an initial 14' scenic section exactly to scale from the prototype to true scale standards. The site remained largely unchanged from the late 1800's until closure in the 1950's, a long-forgotten slice of the east end of London. "Orchard Wharf" is a fictitious part of east London's industrial heritage – featuring a split level mainline and wharf with inlaid track. It’s being built in EM gauge, and set in period between the end of the war and the development of docklands as that area became run down and derelict.

198 – MRC Shop -  Always popular, we have a huge selection of pre-owned items for sale.  All are competitively priced so do stop by and have a look.

199 – MRC Bookshop - A varied selection of second-hand railway books at reasonable prices, mostly British but with some quality American titles.  Come and browse - you never know what you may find!
