This new model from Bachmann could be a game-changer, watch our video to find out why...

In popularity contests, AC electrics have always been the poorer cousin of diesels on post-steam-era layouts. A lack of AC electric models to current RTR standards has resulted in layouts based strictly on East or West Coast Mainline practise being few and far between. This new model from Bachmann could be a game-changer, and sent for review is its sample of 90005 Financial Times (32-610) in BR Intercity ‘Swallow’ livery.

The Class 90s are arguably the most attractive of the AC electric locomotives; as is this model. The angular cab shapes are well-defined, the compound curvature of its rooves refined, and its front-end looks poised and purposeful - a trusty steed that awaits its next train, be it passenger or freight.
