To celebrate a newly-furbished visitors centre, Hornby Hobbies will be hosting an open weekend in August.
Following a recent move back to Margate, Hornby plans to use the event to unveil some new on-site facilities, as well provide a showcase for some of its heritage products.
The event, taking place on August 17 and 18, will allow ticket holders to get up close to the steam locomotives ‘Bittern’ and ‘Black 5’, plus see some early exhibits of The One:One Collection.
BRM will also be at the event with our latest subscriptions offer, alongside several exhibits and layouts from the model railway world. The exhibition part of the event will be held at Hornby’s former factory, where many products have been designed and made over the years.
Visitors will also get the chance to meet the stars of the BBC series - James May’s Big Trouble in model Britain, as well as talk to Hornby’s design and development team as they explain how models are made.
Adult tickets are priced at £10 if booked online ahead of the event, while children between the ages of 5-15 cost £6 each, under 5’s are free. You can also purchase a family ticket for two adults and up to four children for £26. Doors open at 10am, or early access at 9:30am for those who book online before the 17th.
Tickets are limited and expected to sell out fast - book now to avoid disappointment! Visit Hornby's website here for more information.
