Modellers were asked to build a diorama that will fit in an eight in square cake box - 11 people took up the challenge and now it's up to the public to vote for their favourite.

As in previous challenges, the rules are simple:

  • The model must fit in a standard eight-inch square and 6-inch deep cardboard cake box.
  • It must contain two railway items
  • And for 2021, the modeller must make use of two pieces of "rubbish"

Apart from this, entrants have complete freedom over the type, scale and era they chose to model.

Organiser Phil Parker said, "Yet again, the level of imagination, ingenuity and craftsmanship on display astounds me. Choosing a single favourite is a tough job."

Judging is by public vote. All the entries can be viewed on this page, along with the link to the voting form.
