Warley show is always hectic with so much news and so many people to talk to. Andy York and Phil Parker went out and about to take a look at the developments from some of the hobby’s manufacturers and to talk to the people making the headlines.
Heljan had a lot to show this year in engineering prototype and decorated samples of forthcoming models and we went in to see what was on show in the cabinets inside Bachmann’s Collectors’ Club lounge. Andy York talked to Keith Revell of KRModels about the progress of their GT3 gas turbine and to Simon Kohler of Hornby about the models still to come this year and tries, as usual, to get some clues about what may be announced in January for its 100th anniversary.
Phil Parker met up with the Loco Ladies from the Great Model Railway Challenge who won a lot of admiration from viewers. He has added to his eclectic collection of model railwayana with one of the crocheted trees which adorned the layout as they were sold off at the end of the show in aid of Breast Cancer Now. Well done ladies!
