Richard Foster visited the office this week with the first running samples of Rapido Trains OO gauge Hunslet locomotives, and we invited him to talk us through the model.
With numerous detail variations, the Hunslet locomotives in development by Rapido Trains UK, are sure to be popular with modellers. Richard takes us through the models, using the first two running samples.
Of note, two chimneys and some extremely fine lubricator detail on the footplate. Full cab detail and even a flickering firebox effect will be seen when buyers peer in through the cab doors.
These are samples and will be examined by Rapido and modifications made at the factory before production is approved. Richard tells us that they have spotted a few changes to be made, but are generally extremely happy with these models.
