Success for the first Llangollen Garden Railway Festival

Held at the stunning Llangollen Pavilion on May 14th, and opened by Garden Rail Editor Phil Parker, the event presented visitors with over 50 stands including nine operating layouts in 16mm scale, G gauge and Gauge 3.

Exhibition manager, Keith Potts tells us, "The festival was a complete success welcoming just over 1000 people and in doing so raised thousands for Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod. This organisation was set up in 1947 just after the war to bring people back together using music and dance. With things as they are today I feel it is just as important/ relevant now as it was then. As you may of known all profits from the festival were given away to charity so I was very pleased to be able to give them £2500 for them to carry on their brilliant peacekeeping work. We are looking forward to doing it all again next year on May 13th 2023."
