Howard Smith takes a first look at Hatton's new FEA container wagons and its RHTT modules.

If you're a model railway enthusiast and haven't heard that Hatton's Model Railways is producing a OO gauge model of Network Rail's Rail Head Treatment Train (RHTT) in OO gauge, you must have been keeping a low profile... Does your post 2003-era model railway require a train formation that's now a common sight around the country keeping our rails clean of leaves and trains on-time? If the answer is yes, you'll want a RHTT formation, and Hatton's latest exclusive caters for just that. The wagons are available as twin-packs, with single wagon packs also in stock with the shop, allowing modellers to expand their rake to three wagons. Included are three container modules (three water modules on expansion wagons), with a choice of weathered or pristine finishes on all. Arriving at the same time is Hatton's FEA-E intermodal flats in Freightliner green, with a choice of running numbers, plus the option of a wagon fitted with track panel carriers.
