Three new innovations have been released by Railtec Models, the specialist in waterslide transfers and decals for the model railway hobby.
The first one is shattered glass, as seen in the picture above. This is made by applying a cleverly designed transfer on top of the existing window. Costing £6.90, the transfer sheet comes in several sizes to fit BR Mk. 1 coach windows but could be cut to fit smaller windows.
The second one is 3D rivets. Also priced at £6.90, they are printed using a specific process, giving them a "bump". This means they are raised and look like real rivets and are available in various sizes with correct spacing for ease of use, meaning a row of rivets can be applied in one go.
The third is oil and grease effects. They are printed with the shine typical of oil patches and a slight 3D textured rust using a process similar to the rivets mentioned above. Various sizes are available to fit most standard buffer sizes.
Also priced at £6.90, the oil and grease effects are based on real-life examples for accuracy.
All these new products are available to order from the Golden Valley Hobbies website.
