Manning Wardle L Class range gets two more liveries

Rapido is adding two ornate liveries to its Manning Wardle L Class range, but you will need to be quick if you want to own one.

The first is the South Eastern and Chatham Railway version (pictured above), which Rapido shared on its Social Media channels some time ago. When originally shared, Rapido was inundated with requests to add it to the main range; so it decided to look the other way when it comes to historical accuracy and give in to public demand.

The SECR utilised several classes of 0-6-0 and 0-4-0 Manning Wardle, so this “What If” livery is not only a nod to these delightful locos, but could have easily become reality had the SECR ordered a different class, or purchased more.

MW L Class SECR No.331 features a closed cab and is finished in the fully lined Wainwright Green Livery.

Since Rapido announced the  “What If” Bramble livery for the SECR O1, it had numerous requests for further locos in the eye-catching lined blue, so have added a cabbed version to the range in a similar style livery; this model also continues the floral and fauna naming theme; MW L Class No.481 Hawthorn.

Both of these new liveries are being added to the MW L Class main range; however, order books close on the entire range in just over three weeks on July 28th.
