Laser-cut model crates arrive with retailer

German manufacturer Busch has released new laser-cut wooden harvest crates (1980) in 1:76 (4mm:1ft) scale, sold in packs of 10. These can be ordered via model retailer, Golden Valley Hobbies. Each measuring 14 x 11 x 10 high, the crates purport to be wooden harvest crates, though modellers might find other uses for them, too.

Once assembled with a PVA, superglue, or better still, a specialist glue for laser-cut kits, the boxes can be weathered further, if desired, or perhaps consider adding an owner stamp to the sides.

The wooden crates could be used around an engineering works to hold parts, around a warehouse filled with sawdust for the transportation of fragile objects, or even around a wagon or locomotive repair shop to house machine tools, or spare parts.

In true style from the German manufacturer, its accessories are displayed at their best as part of a cameo, demonstrating their potential use.
