Jonathan Dunster, Chairman of the Severn Valley Railway explains the railway's financial situation and the steps it is taking to secure its future through its Survival Fund initiative.

Inflationary costs are being felt throughout society, and the leisure industry – one of the hardest hit by the pandemic – finds itself at its most-vulnerable. Heritage railways throughout the UK are hard at work doing everything they can to keep the station lights on, trains running, and visitors happy after a great family day out.

Helping explain the circumstances and pressures facing one of the UK's premiere heritage railways, Jonathan Dunster, Chairman of the Severn Valley Railway speaks with Howard Smith about its emergency Survival Fund which seeks to address future operational pressures.
