2023 will mark the centenary of the formation of the LNER, and arguably, one of its most-famous locomotives, No. 4472 Flying Scotsman.
The LNER Society is dedicated to historical research and archiving of LNER-related documents, photographs and media and has plans to mark the occasion next year by studying the lasting legacy of the LNER and its 25-year-long reign.
