Hornby celebrates centenary with limited edition models

Model manufacturer, Hornby, is to celebrate its 100th year of business with a nod to its heritage models.

This year sees Hornby reach its 100-year anniversary - a giant milestone for any manufacturer. The manufacturer plans to capitalise on its rich history by producing limited edition models in retro-inspired packaging as a part of its centennial of model manufacturing.

In a presentation to members of the model railway press by Hornby's Simon Kohler on December 9. To commence, we were treated to the following video presentation, made in-house by the Hornby team...

It was explained that the UK's oldest model railway manufacturer still in existence is to release limited-edition models, each to celebrate a decade of its manufacturing history from the 1920s to the 2010s. Availability of models is subject to change, though an outline for each is presented below:
