Dapol Class 143 & Class 144 deco samples arrive

The decorated samples have been reviewed and feedback provided to the factory regarding any improvements or changes that are necessary. Dapol is currently waiting for a production slot to become available, with revised delivery expected in quarter two of 2026.

Available to pre-order now, the new models are priced at £170.00 DCC Ready and £220.00 DCC-Fitted.

The Class 143/144 is based around the existing Class 142 chassis and has the following features:

• A powered and a dummy car in each set
• Flush glazing
• Separate handrails, wipers and exhaust pipes
• NEM Pockets
• Tooling variants for front end and roof differences (original and combined light clusters / With or without radio pod)
• Scharfenberg-style end coupling, compatible with Class 142, 153 and 156 units.
• Close coupling with extendable corridor connections
• Electrical through coupling for improved running
• All wheel drive on the powered car
• Light-Bar ready
• Directional lights on both cars, independently controllable internal (where fitted) and external lighting
