Accurascale has announced the launch of an industry-first innovation to go green and offer free carbon-neutral shipping on all direct orders placed with the company.
In line with Earth Month in April 2024, when environmental issues take centre stage, Accurascale looked at how it can further improve and grow as a company, while also thinking about our environment.
The model railway manufacturer already offers 100% recyclable boxes and packaging but wanted to do more. Therefore, it has joined forces with a global effort of businesses to offset the carbon footprint of commerce.
For every order Accurascale receives on its website or from a trade partner, a formula is used to calculate the estimated shipping emissions, based on those estimates a portion of Accurascale’s revenue goes to carbon removal companies – at no extra cost to their customers.
Accurascale have taken the decision to absorb this cost themselves and customers can choose to ‘top up’ Accurascale’s support with the option of adding a further 20p to their order should they wish.
