Aimed at helping modellers create an authentic-looking narrow gauge model railway, the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association publishes a new 68-page booklet.
The 7mm Narrow Gauge Association has produced a new handbook to help railway modellers create more authentic narrow gauge model railways. The new publication shares techniques from experienced narrow gauge modellers such as Gordon Gravett, Chris Peacock and Geoff Thorne, as they explain how to capture the elusive narrow gauge ‘atmosphere’. Chapters cover the variety of narrow gauge prototypes in the UK and overseas, including heritage railways, detailed data sheets and numerous layouts illustrating the narrow gauge look.
Although primarily covering narrow gauge railways built to 7mm scale, the handbook is equally applicable to modellers building in other scales. The A4, 68-page handbook is illustrated in colour throughout. The publication is being provided free to all current members of the Association (including those who join in the next few months) and is available to non-members for a fee via its website.
