Iwata's Takumi Eclipse Side Feed airbrush arrives as a replacement to its discontinued Eclipse SBS, and is now available in the UK.

The Airbrush Company is retailing Iwata's latest airbrush model, the Eclipse Takumi Side Feed Airbrush. The new model offers the same spray attributes of the Iwata Eclipse Series airbrushes, making it ideal for modellers.

This side feed model has a redesigned, compact body, said to offer improved control and balance. Meanwhile, the new gravity-assisted side feed cup is expected to offer  improved paint flow, making it more responsive. The two-piece 0.24oz / 7ml cup design disassembles for better cleaning and a siphon cut lid helps reduce paint build-up.

Iwata Eclipse Takumi has a crown cap, a wide, adaptive main lever and a quick flush cutaway pre-set handle. Eclipse's high-flow allows it to atomise a wider variety of liquids with less need for reducing or thinning. The Eclipse Series offers a broad spray range, making it possible to achieve a controlled fine line to controlled wide spray. One of the benefits of side feed airbrushes is that it allows maximum visibility of the spray surface while working. A 0.10oz / 3ml cup option sold separately.

Iwata Eclipse Series airbrushes feature a compression fit nozzle that is easier to clean and assemble. A quick-flush cutaway handle offers better access to the needle so that the paint reservoir can be emptied for cleaning. A strong spring-steel needle and solvent-resistant PTFE needle packings also feature.

Airbrushes are sold with a head cap spanner to remove the head cap when accessing the nozzle and Iwata Lube to lubricate the needle and main lever mechanism.
