19 January 2024
|
It will be the 90th anniversary of the Gresford mining disaster this year, and to commemorate those who died, Dapol is producing a wagon to raise funds to help support the Wrexham Miners Project, a local charity that helps maintain the local heritage and support the community.

A total of 266 OO Gauge wagons and 266 O Gauge wagons will be produced, one for each victim of the disaster, and a donation will be made for each wagon sold. Each wagon will come with a numbered certificate, (certificate Number 1-266).

Ignore last - Slightly confusing news release. Having looked on the DAPOL site I now see you order via a DAPOL stockist (pre-order placed via RAILS). I am guessing DAPOL will then pay the appeal amount.

As per the comments below - where is a link to a site we can order from? Many of my family in earlier generations were miners so this is a good cause to support, which I am guessing purchase from a trader won't.

I refer to my last comment. No longer interested as I have placed orders for one of each else where.

Why is nobody responding to the comments.

Why am I finding the items on offer at a trader and in the case of 'O' scale cheaper?

Posted by Kenneth Alexander Mcintyre on Sun 21 Jan 10:56:17

Cannot find the link to pre-order one of each scale.
