A change of ownership of this manufacturer sees the addition of bespoke CAD services, 3D-printed parts and kits.

Isinglass Models, producers of rolling stock kits and LNER drawings is changing ownership and expanding.

Proprietor, Margaret Edgson is handing over reins of the business to Andy Edgson, who intends to run the business full-time. Commenting on the change of ownership, Andy said "This gives a greater opportunity to expand the range of 3D-printed parts such as chimneys and domes or print clients models, whilst designing bespoke components and models for clients. I also hope to expand the range of carriage and van body kits, whilst offering CAD and 3D print support and training.

A regular feature of exhibitions has been ‘walk up’ challenges where Andy has designed and manufactured items live, including smoke box doors, lamp shades, narrow gauge carriages, flywheels and gears. Many of these are unavailable from conventional suppliers, but the service is now available full time. The website will remain at www.isinglass-models.co.uk
