Hornby Hobbies is taking pre-orders for models of a newly-named Class 395 'Javelin'. Named Hornby Visitor Centre at South Eastern's Family Open Day at Ramsgate’s Engineering Depot on June 8, 395013 was unveiled to members of the press by David Statham, Managing Director of Southeastern Railway and Mark Johnson, Engineering Director of Southeastern Railway, alongside Hornby's CEO, Lyndon Davies and Simon Kohler. During the presentation, Lyndon Davies and Simon Kohler were presented with models.

Lyndon Davies said "Hornby are honoured that Southeastern Railway has named one of its flagship trains Hornby Visitor Centre, especially as Hornby had at the beginning of the year moved back into its former offices at Westwood, Margate. This has underlined the fact that Hornby is very much part of the Thanet infrastructure."
