DCCconcepts adds another LED colour to its range of ground signals for BR blue era to present-era modellers.

DCCconcepts has released a new variant of its three-aspect ground signal. Its Mimic Ground Signal range is benefitting from the addition of a signal fitted with a cooler colour temperature of white LED, making it more accurate for modellers of the BR blue diesel- present era. When illuminated ground signals were first introduced, the lamps were low power incandescent types. British three-light signals used two white lamps and one red. Already 'warm' in colour, the white lamps yellowed when they became dirty as the tar-laden air of the steam-era surrounded them. DCCconcepts ground signals are fitted with these warmer white LEDs, however recognising the demands of discerning BR blue-era modellers, DCCconcepts is now offering its signals fitted with 'cooler' white LED temperatures.

Richard Johnson of DCCconcepts commented "We read and take note of every comment about our products, but changing things takes time. Our clients model a period which covers from the start of steam to the present day. So, to all who commented, we did listen and I'm delighted to advise that we now have our three-light ground signals available with two different options of white tint - our original and slightly yellowed 'Steam Era' tint and our new BR blue-era and beyond tint.
