Accurascale Cemflo Wagons
Andy York takes a first look at these new wagons from Accurascale ahead of his review, appearing in the May 2019 issue of BRM.
Accurascale impressed modellers with its first entry into the UK OO gauge market last year with the HUO/HOP24 hopper. This Cemflo tanker takes that another step upwards in terms of initial impression and detail. The models depict the wagons in ex-works condition with the bright aluminium tank body, the metallic finish being evident and pleasing. Perhaps metallic paint finishes do not truly scale, as it is possible to discern the granular nature of the paint applied. That said, the standard of decoration is excellent, with the proviso that the wagon number, LA200, has been omitted from the pre-TOPS wagon, but other lettering, particularly on the solebar, is remarkably fine.
