Network Rail yellow locomotive pair selected as new models, with tooling changes, and available only from the manufacturer.
Accurascale has made public changes to its tooling for the Class 31 locomotives for 4mm:1ft scale/OO gauge to depict 31105 and 31285 in Network Rail yellow. Joining its Accurascale Exclusives range, like its past models in this series, such as ‘Deltic’ No. 9016 Gordon Highlander in Porterbrook purple and Class 97/3 97301, these additional releases require unique tooling.
Sample subject to revision and not representative of production models.
The locomotive pairing is available to pre-order direct from its website in DC/DCC Ready and DCC sound-fitted formats, priced at £169.99 and £269.99 respectively. Accurascale is expecting decoration samples towards the end of this year and delivery of the finished models in Q3, 2024. Locomotives are to feature 'special presentation packaging'.

The manufacturer's Class 31 tooling suite has been designed to cover 31105 and 31285 and Network Rail’s other trio of Brush machines, 31233, 31465 and 31602. As well as the modified cab roofs, functioning spotlights and 31105’s additional lamp irons, other never before produced tooling on its initial NR pairing dates these locomotives to the period from 2008 onwards with LED tail lights / washer jet modifications.
