We've now had the chance to take a look at the decorated J27 samples from Oxford Rail.
Looking at the models, they had been well-handled, a loose buffer and some missing smokebox hands suggest these are already well-travelled. However, it's nice to see them and assess the quality of the finish.
Models will be supplied with a set of etched fire irons and fitted with 3-link couplings.
DCC 21-pin chips will fit in the tender and there will be space for a sugar cube speaker. There will also be a DCC sound fitted version.

Delivery is currently scheduled for the middle of 2020.
