Revolution Trains has unveiled the full range of its proposed K-type all-steel Pullman cars in N gauge and opened its books for discounted pre-orders.

A total of nine packs are on offer, covering the full-service lives of these long-lived vehicles from their introduction in 1928 to their present-day service on luxury charter trains such as the Belmond British Pullman.

The Pullmans were introduced on LNER’s prestigious Queen of Scots train but were also used briefly by the GWR and for a longer time by the SR on the Ocean Liner Express and Bournemouth Belle trains.

Following privatisation, they remained in use until the 1960s when most were withdrawn.  Many survive in preservation, and Belmond Pullman (formerly Venice Simplon Orient Express) have a small fleet still in use on charter trains and other main line services.

The Revolution range comprises five different vehicles:  Kitchen First, Parlour First, Kitchen Third, Parlour Third and Parlour Third Brake. In addition, versions in original form with Pullman bogies and rebuilt form with underframe trussing and Gresley Heavyweight bogies are being offered.

The models will feature fully detailed interiors with switchable saloon lighting and illuminated table lamps.
