Engineering prototypes of its forthcoming Class 121 are displayed, with first deliveries expected as early as this October.
Murphy Models, the RTR manufacturer specialising in Irish prototype locomotives and rolling stock has unveiled photographs of engineering prototypes (EPs) of its forthcoming Class 121 diesel electric. Expected as early as this October, the price of the first batch of models is yet to be confirmed because of currency fluctuations. Further deliveries are anticipated in December 2019 and March/April 2020, to cover all liveries worn by the locomotive class.
These first test samples will be used to confirm that the tooling shape is correct, that visible mould lines are kept at bay and that the fitment of parts is correct. The below images taken by the manufacturer highlight progress to date, though these EPs are not representative of the final product.
For updates on these models, visit the Murphy Models website.
