The new Tramfabriek Allrounder is a small, customisable two axle motorised chassis, available in a variety of wheelbases.
The Tramfabriek Allrounder chassis has been in development for many years and is ideal for small box-style locomotives.
Two worms on each end of the coreless motor drive a gear train that, besides making it run very slow at the slowest speed level, gives the drive a reduced top speed at 12V, offering realistic speeds for small models. Supplied with the model are several wings that can be fitted in the centre, corner, or front ends, so that the chassis can be connected to the bottom plate of the locomotive. Coupling rods are optional.
The chassis is available in three wheelbases: 16mm, 17mm and 20.7mm, with more options to come, and can be customised with a choice of different wheel sizes, which means it has slim, more realistic flangs than traditional “pizza cutters”. From a wheelbase of 17mm and up, 10.5 mm wheels are possible as well.
Priced from £59.00, Tramfabriek also offers a maintenance kit for the new chassis, priced at £7.50, which includes a maintenance cradle and screwdriver.
