The firm's first new kit of 2025 is an O gauge platform shelter based on Honing Station in Norfolk.
Made in self-coloured plastic, these simple kits are quick to assemble and require no painting. The walls of the building are a single piece, so no difficult joins to line up. The base brickwork is English bond capped with engineering-type blue bricks, with the rest of the structure in Flemish bond, as per the original structures. The brick arches are already incorporated in the walls.
Woodwork is available in light brown or yellow. If required, the modeller could detail the inside of the structure. The roof is one piece, and the ornamental chimney is already decorated in coloured brick and made of three pieces.
An ideal building for smaller/starter layouts, according to Atkitz, the entire model can be assembled in under five minutes. Available to order now from www.atkitz.co.uk, costing £35, plus postage (£2.99), the dimensions at the base are 181mm x 74mm, increasing to 193mm x 128mm with the canopy overhang.
