The mixed media Craftsman Laser-cut kit is available to order now direct from the Osborn's Models website.
The OO GWR Siphon C (diag O.4) kit contains Laser etched and cut parts, metal wheels, brass Top Hat bearings, NEM coupler pockets and couplers, 3D-printed GWR buffers and a paint mask for the lettering.
The kit costs £31.95, and all that is needed extra by the modeller to construct the model is paint and glue. The kit is also available in N and TT:120, priced at £16.95 and £21.95, respectively.
About the model
Designed primarily for the conveyance of milk in churns and built from 1893 in three lots, followed by Diagram O.4 (which had three double doors on each side) in multiple lots.
This O.4 diagram consisted of the largest group of non-passenger carrying vehicles in the stock lists and originally was rated 6 tons but later lifted to 10 tons.
The new model is suitable for pre-grouping right up until the early British Railways periods, and the last one was condemned in 1956 after 60 years in service.
