New 2025 Heljan Class 42 breaks cover

The all-new Class 42 'Warship' is available in OO gauge and will arrive in the UK next year.

With calls for an all-new ‘Swindon Warship’ growing in recent years, Heljan has responded with a new model. An initial batch of nine models are set for release in mid-2025 and engineering samples have now been revealed alongside livery artwork.

Plus, Rails of Sheffield has cooperated with Heljan to develop models of the first prototype ‘Warships’, a variant never previously offered in ready-to-run form. The exclusive models will feature a set of magnetic train reporting number plates and will also feature original short (D800-D802) or standard nose handrails and original style underframe skirts between the bogies.
