Kato Class 800 pre-production samples break cover

Expected to arrive mid-2021, Kato's new N gauge (1:148 scale) five-car train packs have reportedly taken a step closer to production with these images issed by the manufacturer. Read about the specification of these models here.

Models are being produced are the Class 800/0 IETs in GWR green, and the Class 800/2 'Azuma' in LNER red and silver. The GWR livery is said to be "mostly completed", while its models of the Class 800/2 await livery application.

The five car units will feature detailed injection-moulded bodies, running on RP25 wheels.
