The new OO Low Relief ‘Factory Entrance’ model kit will be available at the National Festival of Railway Modelling this coming weekend.

Following on from the 7mm scale version of this kit, which was launched at GuildEx in September, this laser-cut MDF kit is available in both brick and stone finishes and is designed to be combined with two of the existing ‘Extra-Low Relief Factory Back’ kits to produce an early-20th century 3-storey factory or office building.

The kit features a double-door entrance with stone steps, beneath a large engraved clock face with separately-cut hands, allowing the modeller to set any time they wish – or even fit a suitable mechanism inside for a working clock!

The kit also includes alternative glazed doors and a more modern clock face and hands, to allow a more modern refurbished building to be modelled. The doors can be either open or closed.

Each kit is made in the UK from a combination of 2mm and 3mm high-quality MDF and also includes clock hands cut from 0.6mm laserboard, glazing material for the windows, as well as full-colour illustrated assembly instructions.

The Factory Entrance kit measures approximately 130mm wide, with the central section being 210mm high.

Overall depth is 49mm including the steps. When combined with 2 of the standard Factory Back kits as pictured, the overall width is 670mm, though the Factory Back kits can be customised to increase or decrease the total width to suit the space available.
