Iain Rice ‘Extravaganza’ this October

Uckfield Model Railway Exhibition is to celebrate the late, and well-known railway modeller and author Iain Rice, with a collection of his former layouts at its 2023 annual exhibition.

Now including Scalefour Southeast – a new regional event, among the 19 layouts being displayed at the East Sussex exhibition on October 21-22, at least five 4mm:1ft finescale layouts are planned for exhibit, constructed by, or contributed to by Iain Rice.

The late Iain Rice, author of many books, creator of tried-and-tested trackplans and a talented modeller, who passed in 2022. 

Adrian Colenutt, Exhihition Manager for Uckfield Exhibition said, "Confirmed as attending the extravaganza are 'Butley Mills', 'Debenham Cade's Green', 'Hepton Wharf', 'Trerice' and 'Longwood Edge'. We also expect to have on display a selection of Iain's North Cornwall stock, built for his layout, 'Tregarrick'."
