British Railway Modelling's latest magazine layout project is set to appear at The London Festival of Railway Modelling this weekend.
Visitors to The London Festival of Railway Modelling (LFRM) this weekend at the capital's historic Alexandra Palace will have the chance to see BRM's latest project layout, 'DHAPR Wagon Works'.
Constructed by BRM's Phil Parker, the compact layout depicts a small rolling stock maintenance and repair site, and has recently been serialised in the magazine. Advance discounted tickets to attend the LFRM are available to purchase here.
Aimed at the model railway beginner, 'DHAPR Wagon Works' shares introductory techniques of layout construction.
The London Festival of Railway Modelling (LFRM) will be the first outing for 'DHAPR Wagon Works', its name derived from members of the BRM team – Debbie, Howard, Andy, Phil and Ruth. Designed for exhibition use, the layout will be operated for the first time at a show by Phil Parker.
Save money and book your tickets for the LFRM here.
Commenting on its appearance ahead of the show, Phil Parker said, "I love building little layouts, for one simple reason – I get bored easily. For me, progress must be visible on any project to maintain the momentum, or I'll get distracted by something else. I'm looking forward to meeting readers old and new, and sharing the tips and tricks of model railway construction."
'DHAPR Wagon Works' is one of 40 layouts booked to appear at the iconic venue, alongside more than 80 traders and societies at the LFRM, sponsored by Bachmann, Graham Farish and The Model Railway Club.
Free Show Entry
Visitors to the exhibition will have an opportunity to enter free of charge if they subscribe for 12 months to BRM magazine, too. The subscription deal can be applied to existing pre-booked LFRM ticket holders and details about this offer will appear on World of Railways, soon.
