'Conflat S' exclusive for MRC

The Model Railway Club (MRC) has produced a special 'Conflat S' wagon in OO gauge, featuring its well known ‘Percy’ logo on the 'Conflat B' container.

Produced in association with Dapol, and priced at £25 each, these exclusive and limited-edition wagons are being launched as the MRC prepares to load layouts and its pre-owned shop to take to The London Festival of Railway Modelling at Alexandra Palace on March 18-19 where the wagons will also be on-sale. Wagons can also be ordered online via its Club Merchandise, with the option to have it collected at Alexandra Palace or posted.

An early predecessor to today’s much larger steel shipping boxes, these wagons and containers were used to transport furniture and goods without having to reload them in and out of a van wagon, and were once a common sight across the railway network.

Based in central London, The Model Railway Club was founded in 1910, and is the largest model railway club with members around the world.
