The manufacturer commented, "We would like to thank all of our potential customers for their patience over the past few months whilst the sound project has been developed. Following the sound recording last October, a lot of time and effort has been spent working on this area of the project to develop and deliver the best sound possible for our Class 56. We will be contacting our retailers at the end of the month to confirm their final orders so please place your pre-order before that date to secure your models."

EM and P4 gauge drop in wheel sets are promised soon with an RRP of £20, available to pre-order with the Class 56 locomotive.

DCC-fitted models are to feature a custom sound project recorded and programmed by ESU, which interacts with independently-driven roof fans, each with its own coreless motor, to authentically replicate the way that the real locomotive operates, under various loads and conditions.

Models are promised a "newly developed speaker by ESU (one passive radiator and sugar cube combination unit)", and hall sensors for adjustable automated flange squeal on sound fitted models. This feature automatically provides the characteristic screech as the wheels enter sharp curves. Not having to activate the sound manually only adds to the immersive effect whilst driving the locomotive. Power bank providing smooth uninterrupted running, which combined with floating centre axles, allows trouble free road holding and power.

Cavalex Models added, "We would like to thank all of our customers and followers for their overwhelmingly positive reaction and support for our Class 56 project – we cannot wait for them to arrive now!"
