Cavalex Class 56 EPs: first look

Cavalex Models has received first running samples of its Class 56 for 'OO' gauge. The first factory-assembled and running samples arrived with the manufacturer in time for the DEMU Showcase exhibition on July 23/24.

Cavalex models is conducting testing and evaluation of the models, with minor modifications said to be required ahead of decorated samples, expected over the coming months.

While displayed at the show, samples were tested on 'Oak Road', Mike Buick’s exhibition layout which depicts a stretch of the Great Western Berkshire and Hampshire line. Cavalex Models would like to thank Mike for allowing the samples to be tested throughout the weekend.

Alex Perkins of Cavalex said, "The Class 56 looked at home working [trains] including MoD, steel and stone. The Class 56 was well received by visitors to the show with positive feedback received."
