Accessories join DCC and point motor range

DCC Concepts' Cobalt point motor range has recently benefited from a new accessory pack containing 12 spare throw-bars (DCP-CBW.12). Each measuring 73mm in length, with three spare wire securing screws, the spring steels are compatible with its Cobalt iP Digital, iP Analog, Classic Omega, Digital and Classic point motors. The manufacturer recommends using a file or cut-off wheel to adjust wire length because the spring wire will damage cutters.

Also added this week is a layout surge protector (DCP-LSP) which prevents DCC systems from registering an overload when multiple capacitors such as ADS boards or locomotive 'stay-alives' charge simultaneously. The board also promises to protect from momentary short circuits that would otherwise shut a DCC system down, allowing continued operation without sound resets.
