The Neepsend Model Railway Society will be holding the 2025 show over the weekend of 10th and 11th May, once again at the Grenoside Community Centre (directions to find it are listed below). Once again there will be a high quality mix of layouts, demonstrations and trade support. Layouts confirmed to be in attendance will include (but not limited to): Dunsfold Road - 'OO' - 1980s Network SouthEast 24th Street Wharf - 'HO' - 1980s U.S.A Trevago - 'OO' - 1960s B.R (W) Chesil Exchange - 'O' - 1910s South Eastern U.K Industrivej - 'HO' - 1980s D.S.B B.S.C Attercliffe Works - 'N' - 1990s U.K Industrial Americana - 'HO' - 2000s U.S.A Broadley - 'O' - 1920s Midland Railway Trade & Demo support will include: Going Loco Mount Tabor Brooks Models Powerbond Adhesives GM Transport Books Buxton Railex Peak Rail Zoe Hunter Historical Railway Maps N.M.R.S Club Sales Hornby Transcontinental Directions to to the venue by car: - if travelling from the north of Sheffield or Manchester - Follow the A61 (J36 of the M1) and follow signs for Sheffield (North) - Take the first right turning after the speed limit drops from 50mph to 30mph (Norfolk Hill) - Turn left at the crossroads towards the top of the hill - The venue is approx. 250 yards on the left, by the zebra crossing - If travelling from the south of Sheffield - Follow the A57 (J33 of the M1) and follow signs for Sheffield (Centre) on the Sheffield Parkway - Follow signs for A61(N) onto Derek Dooley Way (Inner Ring Road) - Follow signs for Barnsley on A61 and continue past SWFC football ground - Continue on the A61 to the end of the dual-carriageway - Turn left at crossroads with traffic lights (signposted for Grenoside Crematorium) - Turn right at crossroads onto Main Street - The venue is approx. 500 yards on the right by the zebra crossing Car parking is available at the venue - if the car park is full, please use on-street parking nearby. Directions to get to the venue using Public Transport: - Bus service 86 runs from Chapeltown to Sheffield City Centre (and Lowedges), connecting with National Rail services at Chapeltown, and runs half-hourly on Saturday (hourly on Sundays). Service 86 is operated by Stagecoach. Services stop right outside the venue on Saturday - on Sunday, services run along the A61 (see map below). - Further information and timetables are available at www.travelsouthyorkshire.com
